Thurston County Community Gardens:

Thurston County Public Health & Social Services works with local partners to increase access to healthy foods throughout the county.  Improved access to healthful foods such as fruits and vegetables improves the consumption of them, in turn decreasing the risk of chronic disease.  Community gardens contribute to the increased access to and consumption of fruits and vegetables (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention).

GRuB (Garden-Raised Bounty)

GRuB grows healthy food, people, and community through hands-on programs at our main farm in northwest Olympia and our veteran-run Victory Farm in Lacey. GRuB builds backyard gardens, distributes seeds, offers teacher trainings, workshops and technical assistance for individuals, schools and other organizations seeking to start their own gardens.
